LIVE at the Theatre Royal was headlined by Adam Buxton, from the Adam and Joe fame and most recently his quick witted internet based stand up routines.

The show was hosted by Mae Martin Who at first did seem slightly flustered but soon had the crowd roaring with laughter on her take on the absurdity of sexuality and coming of age.

The set up of the night itself had a very similar feel to Live At The Apollo, with one host introducing three acts within a three hour time frame.

The tried and tested premise worked well at the theatre royal, with Mae Martin even making a joking about the similarities in her routine

The first act was Dane Baptiste, an his risky material went down well with lively crowd.

Dane managed to use comedy well to address some serious issues such as racism and sexism during his set, which was both refreshing and though provoking.

The second act was Sam Simmons. Madcap, surreal and downright silly, Simmons managed to appear relaxed, coming across as if he was having a great time on stage , whilst still managing to keep the audience engaged.

With his slideshow carefully prepared on his laptop, Adam Buxton was the final act to take to the stage. Those familiar with Buxton's most recent YouTube comment material and meme creations were not disappointed, as Buxton skilfully used impressions and wit to bring a funny side to the internet's everyday content.

A well put together and very funny show from start to end.
