Pre-schoolers were in their element throughout in the company of Peppa, George and the main characters from the popular children’s books and TV show.

The stage show also included a human friend, Daisy (Emma Grace Arends), who came to play and instigated the audience interaction, including singing, action songs and a game of I Spy.

The full house of young children and parents were kept entertained throughout by the good variety of scenery, stories, action and authentic characters and voices.

The young audience loved bath time, which involved gigantic bubbles and George complete with his dinosaur.

The second half included a trip to the seaside in the Piggies’ red car, which breaks down, and of course jumping up and down in muddy puddles, which the audience joyfully joined in with.

There was an attractive rock pool scene with twirling starfish, illuminated seahorses, a running crab and dancing jelly fish.

Daddy Pig (Liam Farrow) was suitably huge and fumbling and all the puppeteers did a professional job.

The finali included an appearance by Mr Potato, who got everyone joining in with a keep-fit song at his beach party.

The young audience didn’t want the party to end.
