FATBOY Slim ruled the three day Camp Bestival along the coast.

The DJ - aka Norman Cook - was the Saturday headline act for the three-day family festival.

Earlier in the day he had enjoyed a walk around the stunning castle grounds and was happy to stop and chat to the hordes who wanted him to pose for pictures.

This year's fancy dress theme was Outer Space and he took to the stage in a full astronaut suit complete with a helmet he must have loved as he wore it for most of the night. His songs mixed in samples from the Rolling Stones' Satisfaction, Prince and a particularly amazing bit using David Byrne singing Psycho killer, which was my favourite.

On Friday night Jess Glynne was a crowd pleaser too and as the Cuban Brothers stripped down to their pants in the big top their good-time vibe was infectious.

There was an eclectic mix with the Royal Albert Hall orchestra playing an assortment of space themed film pieces ending with a part of the fantastic Star Wars score by John Williams.

The children were kept entertained with the biggest bouncy castle in the world, art tents and all sorts of other rides and acts.

The annual appearance of Mr Tumble from CBeebies was as popular as ever.

The teenagers were happy too, though, as the DJs at the Bollywood stage and the silent disco carried on into the early hours.
