There can’t be a teenager alive who hasn’t dreamed of becoming a popstar with all the riches and adulation which follow.
What I Go to School For: The Busted Musical follows the real-life story of that journey, charting the rise to the top and what it feels like when you get there.
Busted were a boyband in the early noughties who had a string of hits and a solid fan base of adoring, teenage fans.
This is their story, written from the viewpoint of one of the members James Bourne, the nerdy one, with writer Elliot Davis, using the band’s songs throughout.
The story is solid as it follows their trajectory through longing for success to the temptations of girls, drink and riches and the grind of endless touring when they get there. With some great tunes included, this definitely has the potential to become a new hit.
