FAMILIES from Sussex who made their way to Dorset’s Camp Bestival were rewarded with two fantastic days of fun until the weather stepped in.

Organisers of the music festival had to cancel Sunday’s events due to the dangerous high winds, but not before some great entertainment had wowed the crowds at Lulworth Castle.

Among the festival's annual favourites, Dick and Dom provided their share of the hilarity with a cracking performance, pitting one side of the crowd against the other in a set of comedy challenges, including a fabulous singing contest.

Mr Tumble cheered the toddlers as he does every year and again one of the best places for children was the BigTopMania tent, where Lucas and Moses and a group of family and friends pulled off some amazing stunts with plenty of audience members involved.

Nearby the Feast Collective provided an assortment of food options from around the world while DJ BBQ played some perfect party music.

Huey Morgan from Fun Lovin’ Criminals hosted an afternoon of entertaining DJ sets in the Bollywood tent and Fearne Cotton’s 1980s classics also had everyone dancing.

On the Castle Stage Rick Astley’s songs like Never Gonna Give You Up showed why he remains so popular. His set included an appearance on drums from TV chef Mary Berry. On Saturday night Clean Bandit’s headline slot revved up the party atmosphere further.

It was a big shame that the last day had to be cancelled but thankfully the first two days had given everyone the chance to let their hair down and enjoy the festival.
