Profile: More than 300,000 YouTube views, a nomination for the Brighton Music Awards' Solo Artist Of The Year, and a much coveted spot at both The Great Escape and the official after party at Brighton Electric Studios - Jacko Hooper has fitted a lot into the last 12 months.

The 21-year-old released his debut EP in March 2012, which earned him comparisons to Jeff Buckley, Glen Hansard and James Vincent McMorrow.

He is now set to perform live shows in France and Switzerland, as well as his Great Escape appearances.

Earlier this year he was part of One Inch Badge's celebration of the city's music scene Seamonsters 3, appearing on their accompanying double album.

Later in 2013 he is set to hit the festival circuit, and release his first official EP. Certainly a city musician to watch...
