Profile: Starting out as a duo based around vocalist, guitarist and accordian player Eve Rose and drummer Francine Perry, Apples And Eve became a five-piece with the addition of bassist Lindsey Oliver, fiddle player Tim Cotterell and guitarist Gar Rock.

As well as creating their own blend of alternative, folk and gypsy music, the band has taken control of other elements of its output, including individually hand-printing the recycled wallets for their EP Dionysus - home to this week's download - and making their own videos.

The band has also played shows with Pokey LaFarge at Concorde 2, Jennifer Left at Brighton Dome Studio Theatre, The North Sea Radio Orchestra at Komedia and at Meadowlands. They have been invited to play live sessions for BBC South, Juice 107.2 FM and Radio Reverb.

Apples And Eve's new single L'Homme (The Man), which was produced by Al Scott, was released on Monday, March 24.
