The Argus: Barnstormer

Barnstormer

From: Shoreham

Profile: Bankers And Looters is Shoreham punk-poet Attila The Stockbroker's first release with his band Barnstormer since 2004's Zero Tolerance.

And in a 30-year career filled with satirical takes on politics and modern life, he is describing the album as his angriest and most topical to date.

On the receiving end of his ire are the moneymen who have taken over football, NATO and their idea to help Libya by bombing the country, the plans for a state funeral for Thatcher and naturally the bankers behind the credit crunch.

As he puts it: "If you think that the best way to respond to the destruction of our lives and our communities by greedy scum is to stare at your shoes and write whiny introspective rubbish, chuck this in the bin.

"But if you want some songs to fight back to, some songs to sing on demos and at a massive great party then this is for you!".
