The Argus: Floors and Walls

Floors and Walls

From: Brighton

Influences: Drum n’ Bass, Rage Against the Machine, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse.

Profile: Anyone watching Channel Four in the early hours of yesterday morning will have caught Brighton's own Floors And Walls playing at the Carling Academy Islington as part of the Road To V competition.

The national event is to find an act to perform at August's V Festival in both Chelmsford and Staffordshire. Previous winners have included The Young Knives, Bombay Bicycle Club and Rosalita.

The final decision about which of the 14 finalists from all over the country goes through to the festival is up to a panel including former Libertine Carl Barat and the NME's Mark Beaumont.

They apparently will be taking in the opinion of the general public too, so if you want to support the band once you have heard the Download track visit www.roadtov.com.

The four-piece, which is led by MC Alex Adams, has been together since spring 2006, and has so far released three singles and a debut album 'What Can We Do Today'.
