Friday Night Hero

Influences: Editors, The Killers, Maximo Park and Bloc Party.

Profile: Last year saw Friday Night Hero record their debut album Tourist In Your Own Town for label Capital East Road Records with producer Hilton Thiessen, who has previously worked with the likes of Killing Joke.

It was the culmination of a lot of hard graft, which has seen the fivepiece perform live on BBC 6Music, be selected as band of the month by Total Guitar Magazine, and become finalists in the Indie Music Award’s Best Live Act category.

The band has toured Germany with The Rifles and Raemonn, ad German magazine Intro gave their album eight out of ten, describing it as “a breath of fresh air”.
