Influences: Mum, Low, Tortoise, Radiohead, Bjork, Battles and Six Organs of Admittance.

Profile: Kopek made their debut at last year's Brighton Live festival, supporting Mechanical Bride. From there the band was offered a chance to play for the BBC's John Peel Day and given support slots with the likes of The Blow, Vic Chestnutt and Guy Picciotto of Fugazi.

Kopek's line-up varies from one man with a guitar to a full five-piece band featuring drums, clarinet, violin, flute, saxophone and whatever else they can lay their hands on.

The band has now created two EPs, one of experimental rock pieces and another of acoustic songs, which are being released later this spring.
