The Argus: Lonesome Heights

Lonesome Heights

From: Brighton

Influences: Pulp, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Patti Smith.

Profile: Experimental indie pop outfit Lonesome Heights launched themselves initially as a solo project in March 2012 – the same night as a freak blizzard.

Based around songwriter Daniel Markland, and taking influences from 1960s psychedelia and shoegaze, the trio released their debut single Nagasaki in September and followed it up with “a secular Christmas hit with no Christmas message”, Same Old Story, earlier this month.

Their self-titled debut album is available to download from iTunes now, with new album Resort slated for early 2014.
