The Argus: Rebecca Burge

Rebecca Burge

From: Worthing

Profile: Having worked as a professional actress since 2009, Worthing-based Chichester University graduate Rebecca Burge temporarily gave up the stage and took a job as a cleaner so she could focus on writing and recording her own music.

The results have been collected on her debut album ContraFiction, which was launched at London’s DSTRKT in Piccadilly with fashion icon Emmanuel Ray in the audience.

“My album is a pop-rock and blues CD which touches on global issues as well as my own experience,” she says.

Rebecca first started recording music at the age of 16 at London’s Xplosive Records.

She has since worked as a session singer and has been signed to Iconic Artist Management.

She has also worked as a dancer, model and actress, playing the gang member Spiral in IMDB feature film C.O.O.L.I.O., which premiered at London’s Barbican last week.

She has performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre and Leicester Square Theatre and sung alongside Chipmunk, Booty Luv, BLISS and Beverley Knight.
