Restlesslist

From: Brighton

Influences: Calypso music of the 1960s, Deerhoof, Gorillaz, Joe Meek, Mum, Animal Collective, The Unicorns, Horror movie soundtracks, Prefuse 73, A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Liars, Tom Waits, Kraftwerk, Gogol Bordello and Babyshambles.

Profile: With the release of their debut album and possible appearances at this year's Canadian Music Week and the international South By South West festivals 2008 looks like being a big year for Restlesslist. So to making the band based around the duo of Matthew Twaites and Ben Elliott the 25th Download Of The Week was an easy decision. What makes them stand apart from other Brighton bands is they are purely an instrumental band, only employing Brighton vocalist Stuart Flynn to provide atmospheric cackles on the track The Horror Show.

With the first album's release imminent the band is focusing back on touring, after Matt took time out to play on The Electric Soft Parade's last set of shows. The Soft Parade's Tom White is returning the favour on drums alongside additional band members guitarist James Hamilton and bassist Matt Davies, from Brighton's Zettasaur.
