Rumrunn3rs

From: Eastbourne via the South Of France

Influences: Black Keys, Bedouin Soundclash, Dub Inc, Manu Chao, Amy Winehouse, Raconteurs, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Incubus, Kasabian, Amy Winehouse, Django Rhienhardt, The Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rodrigo y Gabriele, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Nneka, Florence And The Machine, Maroon 5, Kooks, Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Alt-J.

Profile: Taking their name from a legendary and now defunct music bar, The Rumrunn3rs is made up of English singer-songwriter Diana Plummer with Anglo-French brothers bassist Ed and drummer Chris Guest.

The three in their name refers to the trio of "spices of life" within the band - music, food and rum. Their music is also a combination of folk flavours with a rocky underside.

The trio spent last summer playing live in the south of France. On their return they focused on recording their debut EP, which will be available to download later this summer.

This week's download, which is penned by Plummer, currently has a video online at www.youtube.com/watch?v=5M1ppZXqEyY

Look out for more live shows this autumn.
