The Argus: Run Young Lovers

Run Young Lovers

From: Crawley

Profile: Indie five-piece Run Young Lovers started life in 2006 as Us And Them.

The band were compared to The Cribs by NME, who commended them for their "intelligent, bouncy, indie" sound, and were featured on Steve Lamacq's BBC Radio One show In New Music We Trust.

The band toured across the UK, focusing on the south east and London, coming to an end after playing to a 5,000-strong crowd in Germany.

They returned with a new name and new sound in 2011, combining melody and catchy hooks.

The band has been recording and uploading new tracks for free download on their website, and are planning to release an EP this year on a "pay what you like" basis.
