The Argus: Shrag

Shrag

From: Brighton

Profile: Last month on Marc Riley's BBC6 Music Shrag dropped the bombshell that after almost ten years they are splitting up.

On their website the band said: "We’re old, we’ve done this band for nearly TEN YEARS, and we finally made a record that we are uniformly proud of, so enough’s enough!"

The five-piece released their third and final album Canines last July on the indie label Fortuna POP!

The album was written in a shed at the bottom of guitarist Bob Brown's garden between January and August 2011, with the aim of creating something which was musically "a bit deranged".

It follows their 2009 self-titled debut, and 2010's Life! Death! Prizes!
