The Argus: Teardrop Factory

Teardrop Factory

From: Brighton

Influences:Guided By Voices, Sonic Youth, Jesus And Mary Chain and Pixies.

Profile: Messy indie rock band Teardrop Factory describe their sound as “fractured pop music with a fondness for grit and distortion”.

The aim is to strike a balance between satisfying hooks and head-spinning dissonance in a perfectly formed three-minute pop song, to create something which will lodge stubbornly in the head.

In May, the trio released their debut EP Topshop on Brighton’s Faux Discx label – which was recorded in Hove’s Church Road Studios with Julian Tardo and Andy Ward.

They are now working on their first album.
