Profile: Formed in 2002, fourpiece Villareal prepare to unleash their third album Lit By Sparks.

The band’s debut, Spook Frequency was released in 2004, followed three years later by Blue Snakes, which showcased their trademark warm, intelligent, fuzzy lo-fi pop music. After Blue Snakes the band embarked on a series of shows, including support slots with Mew, Okkervil River and The Wedding Present, before knuckling down to the difficult third album.

Lit By Sparks will be released full-scale in April, preceded by the single Cindy 65, but a limited number of copies will be available at this special album launch. The band will be performing the new album in full for this one-off event.
