The Argus: Way Tangent

Way Tangent

From: Brighton

Influences: Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, At The Drive In, U2, REM, The Strokes and Pro Evo.

Profile: Since meeting at the Brighton Institute Of Modern Music back in 2007, five-piece Way Tangent have performed at both The Great Escape and Beachdown festivals, and trod the boards at the Concorde 2 and Brighton’s former Barfly.

Drawing members from Bognor and Chichester, as well as Canterbury, Shropshire and Worcester, the band quickly became a tight-knit unit as they wrote songs and honed their sound. Their debut single, Everyone Knows One, was released on the independent label South Coast Sounds at the end of last month. The band has just completed a nationwide tour to mark its launch.
