Airbourne Eastbourne Seafront, Thursday, August 14, to Sunday, August 17
THE Red Arrows celebrate their 50th anniversary as part of this year’s Eastbourne airshow, which starts from Thursday.
As well as the finest vintage and modern aircraft in the skies above the town, there is an extensive programme of live performance on a new beach stage, including appearances by X Factor’s Luke Friend and Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing.
Among the exciting visitors for air enthusiasts will be the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight, the Sea King, the Tucano and the Eurofighter Typhoon, alongside demonstrations on Western Lawns by the army and navy.
Meanwhile the live entertainment on the beach will mix up-and-coming Eastbourne musicians such as Harry Court and The Piercings with TV talent show favourites De’Vide and The Mend, street dance from Street Styles 4 All, ventriloquist Steve Hewlett, magician Sam Jones and the Heart Breakfast team, culminating in fireworks at 10pm on Sunday, August 17.
Starts 10am to 7.30pm, evening event Sun 5pm to 10.30pm, free. Visit www.visiteastbourne.com/airbourne.
