Seedy Sunday
Brighton Dome Corn Exchange, Church Street, Sunday, February 7, 10.30am to 4.30pm, £3/£2, under 16s free, 01273 709709
SPRING bulbs have already been appearing at strange times this winter – who would have thought you would have seen daffodils in December?
But this is traditionally the time of year when the green-fingered start to think about the summer and so for the fifth year the UK’s largest community seed swap is taking over the Corn Exchange.
As well as swapping up to 10,000 seed packets – or buying them for 50p a time – there will be guest appearances through the day. On the bill are BBC Radio 4’s institution Gardener’s Question Time, and talks by the likes of James Wong, Pavilion Gardens head gardener Robert Hill-Snook, environmental archaeologist Dr Mike Allen, Dr Dave Goulson from the Butterfly Conservation Trust and Nick Mole of Pesticide Action Network UK.
