Aliens, Zombies and Monsters: The Weird World of Aaron Blecha

Hove Museum, tomorrow until September 4, 10am to 5pm

This family-friendly exhibition is based around of the work of Hove-based illustrator and writer Blecha. He is best known for his books Goodnight, Grizzle Grump and the School Shark series. As you can see from the main picture on the right, he has got some brilliantly colourful creatures up his sleeve. Robin Hood

The story of Robin Hood probably needs little introduction but that’s without taking into account New Mutiny Theatre Company’s bold new take on it. The play switches perspectives between the wild freedom of Robin and his forest friends and the strict regime of the Sheriff’s castle. A Square Room

This inventive one-man children’s show explores the unfairness of being left out of a world that seems to have been designed for everyone but yourself. Snow Mouse

A sleeping mouse is the hero of this production for the very young. It’s snowing outside and a child comes across a small mouse while looking for their warm clothes. Long Nose Puppets present this show, based on an award-winning book by Polly Dunbar. A small boy, Ben, receives a penguin as a present but is frustrated when the animal says nothing.
