STARTING in 2012 the International Chef Exchange has seen Brighton’s finest open their restaurants to top culinary masters from across the world, and visit kitchens in Maastricht, Lyon, Rotterdam, The Hague, Sicily, Sweden and Guernsey.

Thursday’s events shows how much the scheme has grown as Vancouver’s Felix Zhou takes over Matty Bowling’s kitchen at Terre A Terre for a night of vegetarian food inspired by the flavours of British Columbia. And the Spring Harvest closes with a visit from St Lucia’s Craig Jones on Monday, June 1, to The Restaurant at Drakes, in Marine Parade.

THE classic Routemaster bus is now taking gourmet tours every month.

This special tour, to coincide with English Wine Week, will be travelling to two of the county’s vineyards, looking at both still and sparkling wine production. The day out includes breakfast and a buffet lunch.

SEVEN chefs join forces with seven producers to come up with a unique dish or product. The event features top chefs from 64 Degrees, The Pass, Terre A Terre and The Chilli Pickle, as well as Sussex producers from Ridgeview Wine Estate, Brighton And Newhaven Fish Sales and Wobblegate Cider.

WITH the support of Southern Water the annual Children’s Food Festival has gone large, encouraging the cooks of the future through live theatre courtesy of chaotic chef Signor Baffo, interactive food workshops and the final of the Great Brighton Ice Cream Contest.
