A FAMILY carvery chain has just launched a new winter menu.
Crown Carveries, which owns The Sportsman, in Tongdean Lane, near Withdean Park, and The Saltdean Tavern, by Saltdean Park, are both adding hearty additions to their menus ready for when the weather finally turns.
As well as the traditional roast meat and vegetables, the carveries will now also offer shepherd’s pie, gammon with free range eggs and chicken balti pie among other treats.
“The introduction of the new menu is a great opportunity to remind our guests that we carve up more than just our famous carvery roasts,” says The Sportsman’s general manager Adam Gordon.
“We’re offering a selection of tasty traditional dishes like hand-battered fish and chips, sausage and mash and vegetarian options like macaroni cheese and vegetable kiev.”
There will also be new sandwiches, starters, desserts and a sharing menu on offer.
“It’s hard to beat a traditional roast carvery with unlimited crispy roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings, sauces and all the trimmings,” adds Saltdean Tavern’s general manager Robert Budinger.
“With our new menu our kitchen team really have given our guests a dinner dilemma!”
The carveries are also offering takeaway options from the carvery deck, served in a to-go box, as well as old favourites including a kids carvery and junior menu.
An unlimited breakfast is also available offering bacon, sausages, free-range eggs, hash browns, tomatoes, beans, toast and fried bread, with options of porridge, cereals and toast.
And the Armed Forces and emergency services can get a ten per cent discount on their Defence Services Discount Card or Blue Light Card.
