AN INDIAN restaurant has re-opened its doors to customers with the owners inviting Maria Caulfield MP to the re-launch of the curry house.
A ceremonial cutting of the ribbon marked the occasion with the Lewes MP and the Mayor of Seaford, councillor Lindsay Freeman, sharing the honour.
After a warm welcome from the owners, Maria Caulfield gave a short speech and joined local residents to sit down for a meal in the newly refurbished restaurant.
The Lewes MP said: “The Moon of India is a well- loved Seaford establishment. It was a real pleasure to be able to officially re-open the restaurant following an extensive refurbishment.”
On Sutton Park Road, the Moon of India was the first curry restaurant in Seaford.
Ms Caulfield added: “It was great to see The Moon of India looking so good following this investment by such well-respected members of the local community. I am looking forward to see The Moon of India continuing to thrive and go from strength to strength.”
