Brighton’s Hotel du Vin in Ship Street is offering its house Champagne Lombard and Ridgeview Wine Estate’s Cavendish English sparkling wine for half price every Friday from 5pm to 7pm until the end of July.
Champagne Lombard is a firm favourite on Hotel du Vin’s wine list.
A blend of 50 per cent Chardonnay and 50 per cent Pinot Noir, it’s the perfect refreshing aperitif wine.
Ridgeview’s award-winning Cavendish is made from Sussex-grown grapes, planted in South Downs soil and climate that are similar to the Champagne region.
The blend of three classic Champagne grapes – Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay – this family made “traditional method” sparkling wine is a golden colour with particularly fine bubbles.
“Ridgeview have been working with Hotel du Vin, early champions of English sparkling wine, for a number of years,” says Mardi Roberts of Ridgeview Wine Estate.
“Hotel du Vin are now headline sponsors of the National UK Wine awards which illustrates their dedication and belief in the quality of English sparkling wine.
