Influences: The sound of The Stooges, Blondie, Supergrass, with the Englishness of The Kinks and Franz Ferdinand.

Profile: Having formed in a dungeon-like rehearsal room in December 2003 the future is looking much brighter for Kingsomniac. The band has signed to indie label Faculty and is due to release their debut single, Language Of A Lady, later this month, followed eventually by an album which has been recorded with Dan Swift, producer of Futureheads, Art Brut and Aqualung.
