Legendary DAISY Age rappers De La Soul are among the new acts confirmed for this year's Love Supreme Jazz Festival.

The trio, whose career-making Three Feet High And Rising album was released 25 years ago, will be backed by a ten-piece band for their appearance at Glynde Place in July.

Also announced for the festival, which runs from Friday, July 4, to Sunday, July 6, are Irish rockabilly star Imelda May; 35-year-old acid jazz pioneers Incognito; former child prodigy Nikki Yanofsky who headlined the Montreal Jazz Festival at just 12; Mel Tormé's son now Jazz FM presenter James Tormé and MOBO-nominated Natalie Williams.

The contemporary jazz bill will also feature sets from jazz-punk sextet Melt Yourself Down, Blue Note trumpeter Takuya Kuroda, piano trio Phronesis, rising trumpet star Matthew Halsall, New York drummer Jaimeo Brown and UK newcomers Reuben James Trio, Slowly Rolling Camera and Mammal Hands.

They will join acts already announced including Grammy Award-winners Jamie Cullum and Gregory Porter, double Brit Award nominee Laura Mvula, and R & B outfit Soul II Soul marking their quarter-century.
