New city music compilation Hidden Brighton #2 is released on Hidden Trail Records next week to raise funds for homeless charity The Clock Tower Sanctuary.

Momotaro drummer Rosie Flint introduces the Brighton-based electronic four-piece which as well as featuring on the 14-strong compilation has just released a new EP.

“We're all from various parts of the UK apart from Rhi who is originally from Canada.

"Peppi and Rhi met studying music in Brighton around ten years ago and played and wrote together for a few years before going separate ways creatively.

"Dave and Peppi met studying music production in 2009 and have worked on music together ever since. Momotaro began in 2012 when Peppi and Dave were looking to start a live project and met Rosie. They started writing and playing together and instantly clicked.

“Our debut album Second Side was released in 2014. Rhi joined during the writing and recording of our recent EP release Highest which came out at the beginning of May. On stage we have live visuals by our wonderful friend Woodham.

“For the Hidden Brighton compilation we picked a track from our new EP Highest. We went for Orchids as it’s a good introduction to our sound. We were contacted by the guys putting together this great album and were asked if they could use a track. We thought the album was a lovely idea.

“We released our new EP Highest at the beginning of May so we’re mainly working on live stuff at the moment.

"Although ideas are always flowing and we’re constantly working on new music so watch this space. We want to create music we love and play to as many people as possible.”
