Together The People Festival – Saturday

Super Furry Animals

BOASTING an indie-rock sound which has incorporated everything from psychedelia to techno, Cardiff’s Super Furry Animals are back after a long hiatus to accompany the 15th anniversary reissue of their Welsh language album Mwng.

Levellers

BRIGHTON’S folk-punk heroes play a rare hometown show, following a recent greatest hits collection and retrospective documentary A Curious Life.

Ghostpoet

THE Mercury Music Prize-nominated MC released his third album Shedding Skin in March.

Lucy Spraggan

WHILE most of her X Factor contemporaries have tried to climb the greasy pole of pop chartdom, Brighton-based Spraggan has released a trio of albums mixing acoustic folk, hip hop and a wicked sense of humour.

Chris Simmons

SINGER-SONGWRITER Chris Simmons is something of a Worthing legend, having worked with the likes of Passenger, Kate Nash, Seth Lakeman and The Maccabees. He’s part of a strong Sussex line-up, which includes the Folklore stage programmed by singer-songwriter Jacko Hooper, and a BIMM stage showcasing the college’s top student musicians.

Brakes

THE Brighton supergroup reconvened earlier this year to mark the tenth anniversary of their debut album Give Blood. The band features members of Electric Soft Parade, British Sea Power and Tenderhoof.

Horrible Histories

LEARN about the history of Barmy Britain with all the boring bits taken out, as the popular book series created by Terry Deary is transported to the stage.

It’s part of an extensive kids programme which includes roaming theatre, street performers, face painting and more.
