Brighton Centre, King’s Road, Friday, March 11, from £27.50, 08448 471515
CURRENTLY wowing the judges two weeks into Strictly Come Dancing, Peter Andre is heading back to the Brighton Centre next year with a new swing-influenced tour.
The show links in with his latest album Come Fly With Me, released today, which has seen the pint-sized Australian reinterpret classics by Frank Sinatra to mark what would have been Ol’ Blue Eyes’ centenary.
The album, which has been produced by the Oscar-nominated songwriter Nick Southwood, features new takes on classics including Mack The Knife, Ain’t That A Kick In The Head and the title track.
For the accompanying tour, Come Swing With Me, Andre will perform a mash-up of the swing classics with reinterpreted versions of his old hits.
“Performing live on stage is what I love doing best” says Peter. “I have put so much effort into production and choreography, we have a great team working with us.”
Former Hove resident Andre first hit the charts more than 20 years ago with chart-topping singles Flava and I Feel You.
His career received a shot in the arm when he appeared on the jungle reality competition I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here – where he also met future wife Katie Price.
Since then he has combined life as a reality TV star with a succession of eight solo albums, beginning with 2004’s The Long Road Back, and topping the charts once more with a re-release of his single Mysterious Girl.
Tickets go on sale today from 9am, with VIP options available.
