INDIE seven-piece supergroup Whitney is made up of former members of the critically acclaimed Unknown Mortal Orchestra and tipped band The Smith Westerns. The band has so far released a series of taster singles including No Woman, No Matter Where We Go and Southern Nights showcasing an upbeat lushly orchestrated summery sound.

FEBRUARY would normally be a time to avoid a remote Youth Hostel like the plague – but these Swiss chart-toppers are clearly made of stronger stuff. 77 Bombay Street is touring 17 Youth Hostels, ranging from the remote to the city centre and playing free shows at each showcasing their third album of folk-pop-rock tunes which was recorded in London. Anyone who doesn’t fancy braving the South Downs in sub-zero temperatures can catch them in Brighton on Tuesday.

MONEY are building on their word-of-mouth success which has seen them launch this tour with a show at Manchester’s 1,400-capacity Ritzy.

This tour follows the release of second album Suicide Songs last month, home to one of the most striking cover images of 2016 so far, and a set of haunted dark songs with some beautiful stripped back orchestrations.

Jesse Malin

STARTING out in hardcore band Heart Attack as a 12-year-old, troubadour Jesse Malin has gone on to be produced by Ryan Adams and collaborate with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Green Day.

This new tour is in support both of his new album Outsiders, and the deluxe reissue of his Adams-produced solo debut The Fine Art Of Self Destruction from 2002.
