Since the 2006 release of her debut album Fur And Gold, Bat For Lashes (aka Natasha Khan) has become a cult pop phenomenon, picking up two Mercury Music Prize nominations and touring with Radiohead.
Her otherworldly music has been compared to Bjork and Kate Bush, with richly textured soundscapes and haunting soprano melodies. For her new album, Two Suns, Natasha journeyed to the Joshua Tree Desert in California, where she developed her hedonistic alter-ego, the femme fatal Pearl. The album spins a narrative set in the worlds of both Khan and Pearl, creating a mesmerising musical universe.
