The National Theatre hit One Man, Two Guvnors has been revealed as Theatre Royal Brighton’s Christmas show.

Richard Bean’s comedy, set in Brighton in the 1960s, opens on Tuesday, December 16. It will run for three weeks.

Gavin Spokes, currently playing Parsons in London's Almeida Theatre and Headlong production of 1984, takes the lead role of loveable chancer, Francis Henshall. Norman Pace plays Charlie Clench.

This touring version of Nicholas Hytner’s production, which has now been seen by more than one million people, follows a manic day in the life of struggling skiffle player Francis Henshall and his attempts to get a meal and earn a crust.

It is based on The Servant Of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni.

Gavin and Stacey star James Corden led Hytner’s production when it opened at the National Theatre in May 2011.

Booking opens on Friday 28 March. Tickets available here.
