1927’s Golem
The Old Market, Upper Market Street, Hove, Tuesday, December 29, to Saturday, January 16, 7.30pm, 2.30pm matinees, from £18/£16, 01273 201801
HAVING previewed Golem at The Old Market last year before a Christmas run in London’s West End, 1927 are back with the story of a clay man created to save a beleaguered town.
The show mixes hand-made animation, claymation, live music and performance in a dystopian fable asking who or what is in control of the technologies we rely so much upon.
Golem is the third production by 1927, who also created the critically acclaimed The Animals And Children Took To The Street. It shares its innovative use of technology with a distinctive vintage feel.
