Brighton Fringe at Komedia

AHEAD of the official launch later this month Komedia has already revealed some of the 58 shows they are bringing to the city in May.

Heading up the pack is Kieran Hodgson’s Lance, on Thursday, May 26, which had a sell-out four-week run in the West End. Hodgson’s show focuses on his tarnished former cycling hero Lance Armstrong in a tale of growing up, betrayal by professional athletes and redemption.

Flabbergast Theatre brings the one-man puppetry and mime show Tatterdemalion on Friday, May 27, and Friday, June 3, and Alison Thea–Skot brings her hit Edinburgh character comedy show Some Like It Thea-Skot on Saturday, June 4.

Also on the bill are theatre shows The Girl Who Fell In Love With The Moon by The Human Zoo, mixing puppetry, poetry and live music, from Friday, May 12, to Sunday, May 14, and Daniel Bye’s storytelling show Going Viral from Monday, May 30, to Wednesday, June 1.

Helen Duff plays Jill – described as a cross between Alan Partridge and Margaret Thatcher – in comedy cooking show Vanity Bites Back on Tuesday, May 17, and Wednesday, June 1.

And Bootworks Theatre investigates a Terminator 2 obsession in Now Listen To Me Very Carefully on Monday, May 23, and Tuesday, May 24.

Brighton singer-songwriter Martha Tilston is back on Wednesday, May 11, and there’s a pair of top family shows: The Three Half Pints, which sees Derek, Dick and Ernie explore being bad guys, on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4, and magic meets martial arts in Javier Jarquin’s Card Ninja, on Saturday, May 7, and Sunday, May 8.
