I am trying to use the "rhythm method" of contraception. When is it safe to make love without taking precautions?
Using the rhythm method without expert advice isn't very safe - since women can get pregnant at any time of the menstrual cycle. However, the most dangerous time of the month is from the eighth to the 18th day after the start of a period. Don't make the common mistake of trying to calculate from the end of a period, which is very unreliable. For more precise advice, contact a Natural Family Planning Clinic.
