A new chapter

OUR LADY OF SION School is delighted to announce the opening of their new Nursery premises.

The rebuild, which took five months to complete, uses solar energy and low energy underfloor heating to maintain a low carbon footprint. It has been designed to maximise the educational environment, exceeding all OFSTED requirements and offering full disabled access.

Head of Nursery, Suzanne Dawson said: "This was a huge project, and we are delighted with the result. The new nursery offers an exceptional environment for our children, for both learning and playing.

"We offer state-of-the-art facilities, such as an interactive white board, which will enhance children's learning experience. The focus has not just been on creating a light, spacious interior. The outdoor play area has a canopy covering the special safety surface, enabling children to play outside in all weathers whilst being protected from harmful UV rays. Every effort has been made to offer a nurturing and stimulating environment."

Headmaster Michael Scullion commented: "We are justifiably proud of our new nursery building - the facilities are second to none.

"We place great importance on the nursery because it provides such a great start to countless childrens' lives. Our nursery has an excellent reputation and always receives high praise from OFSTED. We are sure this new chapter will enable our teaching to go from strength to strength."
