Girls arriving in the Sixth Form

FROM September 2008, girls as well as boys will be able to benefit from the distinctive education and unique atmosphere at Worth when the school welcomes girls into the Sixth Form, and from 2010 girls will also be able to join the school at ages 11 and 13.

Worth is known for its strong community values, friendly atmosphere and the excellence of its all-round education.

As a Benedictine school, students are encouraged to develop their own individuality, while living within a community that inspires learning, worship, friendship and service.

Worth offers the International Baccalaureate alongside the traditional A-level curriculum.

Examination results in both the IB and A-levels are high and students enter the very best universities in the UK and abroad.

The school is committed to co-education and girls will share in all the opportunities currently available to the boys. To achieve its co-educational aims, the school is investing in a girls' boarding and day house, along with new facilities and staff.

The already extensive range of sports and activities will be expanded and the outstanding music and drama departments will be further enhanced by the inclusion of girls.
