The amount of time I spent making videos completely varies... I run three separate channels; my main channel, daily videos, and gaming channel, where I make videos of myself playing games. For example I could spend three or four hours filming for the gaming channel, and it takes a whole day to edit the main videos.

I love the interaction with people... the fact that you could make something in your bedroom and all these people around the world would watch it. I want to continue to grow and work on my content and make better sketches.

A lot of people don’t realise what goes into it... because you only see a video that is three minutes long; there’s so much more that goes on behind the scenes.

I started a YouTube channel while I was at college out of boredom... When I started out I had no idea I could do it as a job. There was a whole wave before me – they were the people I started watching.

I got a place at university to study business and marketing... but because I decided not to go to university my family were like ‘OK you need to think about this’. They used to say I was very quick at making decisions.

I left my day job in September 2012... I was a salesman, travelling the country selling software.

The bigger you get, the more people will not like you... You can read 100 comments, and one bad comment can get to you.

I think it’s a new form of media that is going to keep on growing... My subscribers mainly fall into the 13 to 17 and 18 to 24 age groups, and they are 80 per cent female.

What you see on YouTube is only what I decide to put on YouTube... there are personal, private moments I would not put on the internet. You have to draw a line.

I’m always up for trying new things... but I think that social media talent is going to be a thing going forward. I don’t think that YouTube should only be used as a platform to launch into other media.

I am very interested in health and food... I have had a whole transformation of my body in the last year, which started from me looking in the mirror and not being happy.
