Biting pet stripped clothes off teenager

A dog ripped the clothes from a teenager's body as he attacked her as she took him for a walk.

Paddy the dog was knifed to death by owner Patrick Walker after the American Bulldog tore the clothes from Catherine Stevenson, his partner's daughter.

Brighton magistrates were told that Catherine was throwing sticks for Paddy in Wild Park when the pet caught hold of her arm and would not let go.

He leapt at her, biting her clothes with such force that he tore her jumper from her body.

Catherine put her coat on to protect herself but Paddy continued to attack her, ripping off both sleeves.

Walker, of Newick Road, Brighton, is charged with causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

The decorator, 36, claims he stabbed the dog 55 times with a hunting knife and abandoned it in Wild Park, Brighton, because he was protecting 17-year-old Catherine.
