12:15pm Tuesday 23rd October 2012 in News By Anna Roberts, Crime reporter
A teenager was held down and his head stamped on in a violent street attack.
The assault took place in Gloucester Mews, near Gloucester Road, Brighton.
The 19-year-old was attacked from behind by several other men and was held down whilst two of the men punched and stamped on his head on Sunday (21).
Detective Sergeant Steve French said: "This was a sustained attack by at least four men on another. Fortunately the victim has not incurred any long term injuries but he is understandably shaken.”
The victim has since been treated and discharged from the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
Witnesses should call Sussex Police on 101.

This isn't an indictment on modern society but on alcohol, legal but very, very harmful.
Even in Prinnie's day the fishermen would get rat-arsed and go out looking for a fight - nothing new!

Brighton, what a lovely place it's become! It seems to get worse every year.
ALMOST EVERYDAY this happens in Brighton, The police always ask for witnesses? With the ammount of cameras stuck every where it must be on tape somewhere. These type of people should be locked up with HEAVY sentances!!
