Protests over Brighton and Hove council care home cuts
10:16am Friday 26th October 2012 in News
Campaigners took their fight against care home closures and bus route cuts to Hove Town Hall.
It said it was forced to make difficult decisions due to cuts in Government funding.
But care home protesters have fears over the disruption it will cause to some of the most vulnerable in the city.
Meanwhile, bus users claim the new set-up, in which people have to change buses at Brighton Marina for onward routes, is unreliable and making them late for appointments.
Ward councillor Dee Simson said: “Residents pay the same council tax in Woodingdean as everyone else and nothing short of the 52 being reinstated in full will satisfy us.”
