Police are searching for missing Hove teenager Laley Lane.
Police are searching for a thirteen-year-old girl who has been missing from her home.
Sussex Police with colleagues from Kent and the Metropolitan Police are searching for Laley Lane who went missing from an address in Hove a week ago on Saturday October 20.
Police describe Laley as “very vulnerable” and are extremely concerned for her welfare.
It is believed that Laley travelled to London on the day she went missing but later travelled by train to Whitstable in Kent where she lived in Kent for several years before coming to Sussex.
Laley is white, about 5' 3", of slim build with hazel eyes and shoulder length hair which when last seen was pink at the front and red at the back.
Detective Chief Inspector Jez Graves who is leading the search for Laley said: "It is essential that Laley is found as soon as possible so she can get the care and support that she needs.
“It is highly likely that she has already contacted or will try to contact people she knows.
“I want to emphasise how important it is for anyone who hears from her or knows where she is or has any information that could help us find her, to please get in touch as a matter of urgency.
“I would like to think that anyone who has her best interests at heart will do so."
Anyone with information should contact Sussex Police by telephoning 101 and quoting serial 402 24/10, Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111 or the Missing People charity on their confidential 24 hour helpline 116000.
