Albion's mascot Gully failed to take flight in a charity dash.

The mascot race, which is held each year to raise awareness of prostate cancer, was won by York City’s Yorkie the Lion who roared past Burton Albion’s Billy Brewer (2nd) and Oldham Athletic’s Chaddy Owl (3rd).

Only Mooie and Donnie from Milton Keynes Dons and Captain Blade from Sheffield United finished behind Gully as he limped in a disappointing 23rd in the annual 100m dash at the Doncaster Racecourse event.

Shocking result. Maybe if someone had stood at the end of the course with a bin bag or a carton of chips he'd have got down there a bit quicker.

Yep, chips, can of Red Bull and white powder found in some pubs would have done the trick

I think that is was engineered so that the mascots finished in their teams predicted league positions come the end of the Season, so fair result.
