An elderly driver was rushed to hospital after a crash at Brighton railway station on Monday (October 29).

The collision, at the pick up and drop off pointin Stroudly Road, happened at around 10.50am yesterday.

A red Citroen Xsara driven by an 80-year-old man from Brighton crashed with a blue Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep, a 53-year-old man from Pulborough, was uninjured.

Police believe the Citroen driver may have suffered a medical episode shortly beforehand.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital where his condition was described as stable.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to call 101 quoting Operation Ward.
