Fatal victim of Crossbush crashed named

A man killed after being hit by a car on the A27 has been named as John Russell Gayfer
The 52-year-old of Woodlands Road, East Grinstead died when he was hit by a blue Rover car on the Arundel Road, Crossbush, in the early hours of Saturday, October 27.
Police and emergency services were called to the collision on the west bound carriageway at 1.30am.
Mr Gayfer died from his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Rover, a 24-year-old man from Portslade, was treated for shock.
Police have renewed their appeal for anyone who may have seen a man walking along the A27 in the Crossbush area or a Rover 75 prior to the collision, to please contact them via 101 quoting Operation Parham.
