Late night assault in Horsham

A man was knocked unconscious during a brutal late night attack.
The 34-year-old man was found by police officers lying senseless in Blackbridge Lane in Horsham on Monday evening.
He had to be taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton for treatment.
A 24-year-old man from Horsham was arrested on suspicion of GBH. He remained in custody on Tuesday morning.
Police want to speak to any witnesses to the assault and in particular to the occupants of a dark blue Audi convertible seen to drive off from the area shortly afterwards.
