Motorcyclist rushed to hospital with leg injuries after crash on A26 in Crowborough

A motorcyclist suffered serious leg injuries after coming off his bike in Crowborough.

The 19-year-old was driving north along the A26 Uckfield Road, Crowborough, between the junctions of Chillies Lane and Sweethaws Lane at 10.50pm yesterday when he came off.

He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton suffering from serious leg injuries.

Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and would particularly like to hear from the occupants of a grey or silver coloured vehicle which was travelling northbound at a similar time.

Anyone with information which may help with the investigation is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 or by emailing collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.ukquoting serial 1763 of 30/10.
